CEO Mentor

Warren County CEO students are matched with a mentor from the business community. A mentor is a business owner, entrepreneur, or intreprenuer from our area's business community, who is willing to share his or her time and expertise with a CEO student. These relationships build generational bridges and give students a chance to develop their social skills. Students also learn more about employment opportunities in our area from these one-on-one connections.  

The time commitment varies greatly based on the nature of the relationship. Some students communicate with their mentors only when they need technical knowledge or advice. Others may want to have regular "coffee shop" meetings to talk about business and all the stresses that go with it. The minimum time commitment is roughly 30-60 minutes per month, but some students may want to meet more often. You are always welcome to join us in class!

Here are some typical mentor responsibilities and activities:

  • Meet with the student outside of class to discuss what they are learning in CEO.
  • Attend a few scheduled events or a class.
  • Review the student's business plan for their individual business.
  • Read their journal entries occasionally to see what they experience in CEO.
